La Collezione intitolata a “Carlo A. Blanc” include i materiali archeologici, prevalentemente industria litica di diversi siti italiani e internazionali, che sono di proprietà dell’Istituto in quanto acquisiti prima del 1939. Si tratta di reperti che, come consuetudine in quel periodo storico, venivano usati come forma di scambio tra ricercatori.
L’Istituto Italiano di Paleontologia Umana è una delle più antiche istituzioni di ricerca nel campo della preistoria e della paleontologia esistenti in Italia. Trae ispirazione da un approccio naturalistico e interdisciplinare al passato dell’uomo.
